So, whats the story behind this session?
Recently, we got an opportunity to try out Sony’s A7Riii with a few of the G Master lenses that were loan out to us by Sony Singapore. What better way to try it out by having an intimate session with a couple? Soon enough a former client of us approached us. They wanted to have a maternity shoot as they are expecting a baby real soon! Knowing our style, we weren’t into those styled maternity shoot. We prefer a play session and hence a walk around the back streets of Chinatown!
We started with a little warm up by a mural wall. They know the drill but we all need to warm up a little. A little activity to start the session off right.
Once we’ve warmed up, we move to the back alley and decided to do toned down and be a little more intimate and focus more on the pure emotions.
Time to move on and search for some lights and interesting feature along the street. Thats when we stumbled upon a sidewalk with BEAUTIFUL sunlight creating amazing shadow structure and just opposite it there is a big mural of a pig. Well, it is the year of the Pig anyways.
With all the running, it is time to relax and cool down for a moment. Find a stairs and make them hug it out and wipe each other’s sweat and ask each other what is for dinner. Well, it makes them know each other better event after a year of marriage.
What way to end off the session with a bit of play and a little bit of flirting with each other. We just want them to have fun after all.
Maternity session doesn’t have to be just styled shoot and it is definitely not just about beauty. Have fun and after all, it is a celebration of life!
